Financial Administrator

What will you be doing?

As a Business Controller at HilverdaFlorist, you will be deployed in areas of expertise such as Business Control, Financial Control, Project Control, Data Analytics & Reporting. You will play a key role in (automating) processes and contribute to potential improvements in the use of our ERP and financial system. Additionally, you will conduct internal controls on the quality of the business through analysis and provide advice on optimizing efficiency and effectiveness within these processes. You will also ensure compliance with internal and external laws and regulations.

Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing business cases through various (impact) analyses.
  • Managing various reporting processes for different stakeholders within the organization.
  • Conducting analyses on key business processes.
  • Evaluating and analysing financial data and trends.
  • Monitoring business performance and reporting to the executive team.
  • Contributing to further development regarding ESG reporting (CSRD).

You will report to the CFO of HilverdaFlorist Netherlands and you will be part of the finance team.

What we expect from you

You are a financial expert with knowledge of production and commercial activities. Additionally, you are resourceful, have investigative qualities, and possess strong communication and analytical skills.

Furthermore, you should have:

  • A completed HBO or university education in financial or business administration, or demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost calculation.
  • Experience with the use of ERP systems.
  • A practical understanding of financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, accurate approach.
  • Problem-solving ability, proactive, self-starter, independent, results-oriented, and a good team player.
  • Solid IT skills.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both in writing and verbally.

What will you do?

 

As a Financial Administrator at HilverdaFlorist, you will contribute to the accurate administration of our company in the Netherlands and connect with our international subsidiaries.

In this role, you will have a broad range of responsibilities, managing the entire financial administration. Your task is to ensure that the administration is always accurate and up-to-date. You will be a key player in collaborating with other teams outside the Finance department.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the administration, sub-administrations, and intercompany accounts.
  • Handling bank payments and processing bank receipts.
  • Supporting debtor and creditor management.
  • Assisting our commercial teams with accurate information.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with various reports and assisting in preparing the annual financial statement.

You will be part of our enthusiastic Finance team which consists of 5 employees.

You enjoy taking on administrative tasks and operational activities within financial administration. You can work independently and identify the work that needs to be done.

Additionally, you possess:

  • MBO+ or HBO work and thinking level with a relevant diploma in administration or accounting.
  • About 3 years of relevant work experience in financial administration.
  • Experience using ERP systems. Experience with Exact Globe and Excel is a plus, as is experience with Power BI.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
  • A flexible attitude, and you are a team player, accurate, and a go-getter.

Assistant Breeder

Full-time (32 hours negotiable) – Bachelor’s Degree – Dwarsweg 15, De Kwakel

What will you do?

As an assistant breeder, you’ll be supporting breeders and a researcher within our organisation. You’ll be working daily in the greenhouses, utilising your green fingers for practical tasks supporting breeding activities. Your responsibilities include various selection tasks, requiring accurate observation, data collection, and registration.

You’ll assist in pollinating and maintaining both potted and cut carnations and in registering quantitative traits in selection trials. You’ll conduct vase life tests and perform shelf life trials for potted carnations. Additionally, you’ll support in breeding Limonium and Gerbera.

You’ll also aid our researcher in initiating and maintaining research projects, such as disease evaluations and plant phenotyping.
